Healthcare in hospital

This track identifies the most important developments in medical robots focusing on the applications and technologies used in hospitals and clinics.
It covers three main areas:

  • Robot-Assisted Recovery and Rehabilitation: an analysis of the robotic solutions that are ideally-suited to support some of the most demanding, long-term rehabilitation and recovery programs – whereas traditional rehabilitation therapy is time-consuming and labor-intensive – as they excel at carrying out the repetitve motions required for the therapies.
  • Logistics: how logistics can be improved, by assigning transportation of medicine, food and instruments to the robots and leaving the high value tasks to humans.
  • Surgical Robotics: focus on the debate about the effectiveness of robot-assisted surgery and the relatively high-cost of surgical robotics systems. Surgical robotics is segment that needs more competition in order to reduce costs and consequently become a real benefit for hospitals and patients.
